STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE

We're a much more casual unit, therefore we don't have a proper standard operating procedure (SOP) per se, however we do have some information that you may want to bring into a firefight

Terminology

In a game like Arma, communication is vital to the success of a squad. However, some of the terminology we use on the radio may be slightly confusing if you've not played tactical shooter games before, so here's some of the most common ones!

Combat Tips

When you get into combat, things can get very confusing very quickly and it can often be hard to follow the flow of where people are on the battlefield. Here's some tips for keeping alive and effective during a firefight.

○ Get to cover! Not only are you a lot safer behind cover, if you were to be incapacitated, its a lot safer for a medic to heal you when you're not in the middle of a field.
○ Keep radio communication short and concise. Keep your callouts short while making sure they give out all the important information.
○ Non conventional thinking can be the difference maker in a lot of situations, for example rather than trying to clear an enemy garrison, grab some demolition blocks and reduce it to rubble!
○ Suppression matters, the AI sucks at visually showing it but they are affected by suppression. Keep sending rounds in the direction of your target and they will struggle to hit their shots.
○ PID your targets. This sounds like common sense, but always check the guy you're shooting at is not on your team...
○ Keep moving, a common strategy of the AI is to try and surround enemy forces. Keeping moving limits the possibility of them being able to effectively surround you and will keep them guessing your location.
